About the NWTA

The teachers of the North West Teachers' Association (NWTA) are members of the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation employed by Northwest School Division No. 203.

It is the purpose of the North West Teachers Association to:

  • Ensure that the activities and policies of the association will promote and safeguard the cause of education in Northwest School Division #203.

  • Ensure that the activities and policies of the association will raise the status of the teaching profession.

  • Safeguard the rights of the teachers and to secure working conditions which will make possible the best professional service to our students.

  • Encourage closer association and cooperation between teachers and the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation, the Canadian Teachers’ Federation, the parents and community, and the Trustees.

  • Provide advice, assistance, and support to members in their professional duties and relationships.

  • Positively influence public opinion regarding educational matters.

  • Encourage active participation in the association by all members.
